In spite of the Corona pandemic, in June 2020 the Austrian family-owned enterprise Labor Strauss started construction work at its headquarters in Vienna, where at the moment almost 100 people are employed. The building in the southwest of Vienna, where in addition to the administration, the production and development departments are also located, is being extended by a total of 1,200 m². „Through the extension of the company building, we are setting the course for continued positive economic development of the company, and as a result we can also create new jobs in the long term," says LST's General Manager Dipl. Ing. Stefan Friedl. With more than 200 employees in eleven locations in Austria and Germany, LST produces innovative high-quality products for the protection of people and property, which are exported to more than 40 countries of the world. Among the customers are the ÖBB, the Vienna City Hall, the Museo del Prado in Madrid and the „Ernst von Bergmann“ Hospital in Potsdam, all of which profit from high-quality products as well as from the expert advice and maintenance.
Since generations for the future
Labor Strauss was founded in the 1920s and has grown from a three-man business into an internationally active partner for building security technology. After completion of the building operations in the spring of 2021, LST will gradually take on employees, mainly in the areas production and sales, and thereby will remain on its course for sound growth. „With the extension we are laying the foundations for continuous expansion, and we are also safeguarding the location for the next generation," says Stefan Friedl.
